Open your senses; what do you see, feel, hear, touch, taste, smell…? When I look outside, I see the leaves changing color and falling from the trees. I am seeing the awe-inspiring ways that seasons change and cycle. The earth appears to be decorating itself with the most brilliant of colors! I am opening my other senses… Breathing in and smelling fresh autumn air, and exhaling out, finding peace within. Hearing inspirational, live acoustic guitar with female vocals. Tasting cinnamon and spice tea, and warm white bean soup. Feeling the sensation of wind blowing, fingers tapping on keys, pen on paper. These simplicities are what I long for -- what I desire to feel -- to awaken to my fullest and most authentic self. How can we keep finding ways to be awe-inspired within our day-to-day lives? To paint, to sing, to dance, to enjoy a delicious meal, to write, or to simply be. As we enter this time of harvest, I invite you to find time to be awe-inspired, even if it’s only for a few minutes each day. I give gratitude for all the nourishing ways we have been blessed this Spring and Summer, and I welcome also the harvest of all that is spiritually and soulfully nourishing. I am grateful for all of our dear family and friends, and for our capacities as human beings to simply open to love. En-joy your day! ~ Janet Wepner Image provided by the Hero's Journey® Foundation.
