Springtime calls forth an awakening. Many animals and seeds have been slumbering this winter, and are now waking. What lies within your heart that is now awakening? What has been slumbering deep within your soul that is now ready to open and awaken? I received such a warm response from my March blog that I am inspired to open myself further, and share a poem. I wrote this poem several months ago for a friend who is struggling to become pregnant. Through my own grief process, I have learned that many women suffer silently – struggles in becoming pregnant, miscarriages, postnatal death of an infant or child… and the list goes on. This is a poem, or song, of the heart for all the unspoken grievances and losses especially around pregnancy and child birth. This is to call in the angels of Grace, to hold our broken hearts. This is to awaken our voices and share our deep vulnerabilities within. ~Janet Wepner ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “A Poem for R.” (and all women with a hope of pregnancy and children) You’re a momma through and through. I see Your light. Your seed of hope. and love shining through. You are a momma through and through. I wish I could tell you It will all be fine. It will be okay. Yet we both know the universe and God have plans of their own each day. I wish and pray and Hope for the best. I love you through and through. You cross through Fires, And clashing rocks; And leap chasms together With your partner. Your gentleness, Courage, Love, And Grace Are your closest allies. Women through the ages Walk this path with you, Sister and Momma. They know your daring heart And your fierce tenderness, And bless your womb tonight. May your embers shine brightly As these blessings rain down upon you Nourishing your seeds of light and hope. I wish and pray and Hope for the best. Today and tomorrow too, You’re a momma through and through. ~ written by Janet Wepner

You are an immense support for women. Sharing your heart as you do is such a gift to women, wherever they are in their journeys.

Thank you Janet for this poem. I appreciate that you see the mother in the person even when she has not born a child. Thank you. And you are so tree.

Janet-- this poem is obviously so straight from your heart. Thanks for sharing. I love the part where you remind the reader that she has gone through fires, and over rocks and chasms already-- all part of the journey.
